Comments: Following issues with the previous run. I spent some time testing previous running shoes with and without the insoles. The most comfortable seemed to be with the insoles inside the Asics Gel Nimbus. So I tested that configuration tonight. Went well. I couldn't feel the shoe as much as I'd like due to the insoles, but in the future I may try a lighter insole. A little over half way, I started to get some knee pain on the right leg, but that went away after I relaxed my form slightly. So overall, a better night than previous efforts.

Comments: I started out easy with the hope of doing at least 7 miles. However, by the end of the 2nd mile I was feeling some pain in my right hip around my back. Tried not to think about it and it seemed to subside a little. The second 2.4 mile lap was hard going. My right ankle and knee started to complain. Not sure if this is connected to my left sole having given up the ghost.

Comments: Although I felt the run started well. No aches or pains following Tues. Started too fast, and paid for it half way into the run. Not having run through a summer before, it was a little bizaar coming down the side of a hill and warm arm blowing at me. It was warm, but I didn't feel it was affecting the run in an adverse way. I had to stop and walk 3 times, each time after a hill. However, my time was 10 seconds better than Tues when I didn't stop, so showing that my overall pace was good.

What's also bothering me a little is sometimes I get numb feet during a run. Somewhere between 25-30 mins into it, numbness comes on gradually. For the most part it goes away of it's own accord. Reading other peoples experience, there's a good chance that my trainers are too tight and when my foot swells, there's no room left for circulation.

The sole in my left shoe has come loose. I noticed it the other day when I stepped in a puddle, there were squelchy noises, and today there was definite movement and squeaking. The only thing I can think I've been doing is the lower calf stretch where you bend your toes up on the heal of your other foot and lean forward. Too much pressure on the sole? Can't think of much else I've been doing differently. Might try some Brooks Ghost next.
